Updates to 2.6, for the most important bugs, will continue to be released from time to time. Work is currently being done on version 3.0 to be released around the time Vista comes on the market. The latest, version, 2.63, is designed to be run on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Server 2003. Paint.NET is an image and photo manipulation program that supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects and a number of tools and effects. It is intended as a replacement for the limited Paint program that comes with Windows.
